After sharing your DNS request, DNSDone helps you track its status from creation to completion.
Each request automatically updates as records are implemented and verified, giving you a clear picture of what’s done and what’s pending.
Understanding request statuses
Every DNS request moves through clear stages:
- Pending: Request created but not shared yet.
- Published: Request shared with recipients, waiting for action.
- Waiting: Recipients have confirmed, but waiting for DNS propagation to complete.
- Completed: All DNS changes have been successfully implemented and verified.
- Failed: Some or all DNS changes could not be applied. Check the request details for more information.
Reviewing the timeline
Each request includes a Timeline tab that shows a complete history of activity:
- When the request was created
- DNS records added, edited, or removed
- Recipients added or invited
- Status updates
- DNS propagation checks
- Completion confirmations
The timeline is your audit trail. A quick way to see what changed, when, and by whom.
